Miami: Police Chief Sticks Taxpayers With His Legal Tab

Here’s the gig I want:  Rise to the top of your profession, become embroiled in controversy in a short matter of time, hire some top-dollar legal counsel to defend you, charge the bill to the taxpayers, lose the job, and retire with a golden parachute.  Though Miami fired Police Chief Miguel Exposito earlier this month, the city must still pay outside counsel to defend him in several lawsuits.  It pays to be a Fat Cat.
