Miami: New Prez at Telemundo

Despite what you might think if you base your conclusion on the demographic constitution of Miami, the Mexican portion of the Latino population is the largest and most important in the United States.  It’s the reason Mexican Football is on television in the U.S. every night, the reason the overwhelming majority of the telenovelas are from Mexico, and the reason the NFL is considering expanding to Mexico City.  In its latest move, Telemundo has solidified its policy of bringing South of the Border north.  Emilio Romano, a native of Mexico who lives in Aventura, Florida, has been chosen to lead the second largest Spanish-language television network in the United States.  Not really news, more like an affirmation.  Viva Zapata!
