Miami: Metrorail to MIA Live on Saturday

In a stunning example of how our system works, or doesn’t, the Metrorail will finally link with MIA, long after its designers envisioned it would.  A new chapter in the history of South Florida transportation opens the afternoon of Saturday, July 28, 2012 with the Grand Opening of the spectacular Miami International Airport Metrorail station and the launching of the Metrorail Orange Line, providing passenger rail service to Miami International Airport.  I think I might try it out for the hell of it.  And if I survive, and if it’s not too unpleasant, it may become my default route to the airport.  Government Center to MIA, sounds good on paper.
