Miami: Medellin Cartel Enforcer Gets Prison in Old Case

1994 was the year Colombia was supposed to win the World Cup in the United States with players like Asprilla, Rincon, Valderama, and Escobar.  Instead, the other Escobar’s legacy still lives on.  Harkening back to Miami’s days of the Cocaine Cowboys, an admitted enforcer for Colombia’s once-fearsome Medellin cocaine cartel was sentenced Thursday to more than three years in U.S. prison after pleading guilty to drug conspiracy charges dating back to 1994.
