Miami Foundation to Make Street Scene More Beautiful

One person’s art is another person’s, well, you get the picture.  For example, on a Wynwood street, a big chalkboard was hung over an unsightly chain-link fence, creating an instantly popular, ever-changing canvas for spontaneous public expression.  Sound interesting?  The Miami Foundation is launching the second edition of its $130K public space challenge with a call for ideas that could create new gathering places and improve the city’s shaky sense of community.  In some ways, I think we have a good bit of that.  We like Miami.
