Formula One in Fort Lauderdale, Could Happen

Formula One racing probably won’t replace NASCAR in popularity at any point in my life time.  However, Formula One is more cosmopolitan and international than NASCAR.  Seems like Ft. Lauderdale is trying to leave its Spring Break roots behind and upgrade to full-on international, jet-setting destination.  A group that wants to bring Grand Prix auto racing to Fort Lauderdale’s beach-front plans to ask Broward Country commissioners next week for bed- tax money to help market what’s billed as a mega-tourism event.  Not that I have a vote, but I’m in favor of it.
