Climate Change Hands Miami Beach a $400 Million Dollar Repair Bill

If you live on Miami Beach, especially the south of Lincoln Road, you’re familiar with flooding. Well, the City is finally considering doing something about it. Miami Beach, which sometimes floods from the bay even on a sunny day, is taking major steps to stay dry, with commissioners voting earlier this week to factor in higher tides and sea levels when planning for city projects. Good idea. Who knows when the next “flood of the century” will be, caused by even the slightest drizzle.
